Tails/Dew Claws
We believe in natural tails! They are beautiful and help with balance and communication.
Dew claws will also be left intact as they may be utilized during climbing, handling objects, and to provide traction on slippery surfaces. Care must be taken during grooming to prevent injury of dew claws.
Tail docking is quite controversial as it is illegal in most other countries now, but only in the AKC it is desirable to have a docked tail to create a balanced appearance in the conformation ring. After researching it myself, I did not find it ethical to remove a functional body part simply for esthetics.
Yes, natural intact puppies can still be shown in conformation trials (UKC, international, and even AKC with points deducted). Our puppies have limited AKC registration so will not be sold for breeding purposes, therefore would not have a purpose in the conformation ring (used to confirm conformation & temperament prior to breeding).
Our program is focused on producing service, sport, working, and family dogs. We decided it was beneficial to keep the tail intact as it’s functional purposes are for enhanced balance and communication, which can give them an advantage in sports. Our dogs can compete in all AKC sporting and obedience trials without fault having natural tails.
We will consider requests for tail docking and dew claw removal on an individual basis for legitimate reasons only. Talk to us about it!

Embark Genetic Testing of 150+ inheritable conditions: 100% clear
Our AKC standard poodle puppies come with:
Limited AKC registration (no breeding rights unless an exceptional pup is identified by 7 weeks), 2 year health guarantee for the inheritable conditions we test for, & return to breeder policy for life so none of our pups ever see a shelter.
Puppy training: We do puppy culture curriculum, early scent introduction, early neurological stimulation, microchips, deworming, vet check & first shots, introduce grooming, crate & obedience training. We do temperament testing right before puppy pick day at 7.5 weeks to offer the best matches for families.
Puppy pick day immediately follows temperament testing and the top 3 pups that meet buyer preferences are offered to buyers one by one in order of Deposits received (first come first served). Buyers have 1 hour to make their decision or we will decide for them if necessary to keep the process flowing within our limited time constraints.
Puppies will go home at a mutually agreed upon date as soon as they are 8 weeks old and their vet check is complete. A small daily kennel fee will apply for families who must delay pickup for more than a week beyond 8 weeks old, provided they have fully paid by 8 weeks.
How to reserve a puppy:
Contact us via email, Facebook messenger, text or call to discuss application questions and receive copies of our deposit and purchase contract. Once an agreement is made, the deposit form is filled out and signed by both parties. The full purchase contract will be completed and signed on pickup day with full payment submitted.

We anticipate to identify several puppies that have temperaments and trainability for service, therapy/support, hunting, agility & sport, scentwork, farm or other work, watchdog, and young or retired families. We expect all our puppies to have normal poodle traits of being loving, loyal, playful, active, and highly intelligent. Top it off with being nonshedding & hypoallergenic, it’s hard to find a more versatile and desirable dog!
